Happy New Year!
Prima di tutto, auguri a tutti di buon natale e felice anno nuovo!
Mi ci è voluto un po' di tempo, tra festività e malattia, non ho avuto molto tempo per scrivere.
Che dire, questo Natale è stato uno dei più belli dopo tanto tempo. Sono riuscita a stare bene, a sentirmi amata, sorridere e divertirmi insieme a persone che mi vogliono bene. Mentirei nel dire che la nostalgia non c'è stata, ma sono contenta nell'affermare che sono stata bene.
Il 24 ho avuto la cena a casa della famiglia che mi ospita. È stato molto divertente poter passare del tempo insieme a loro! La famiglia che mi ospita sono i suoceri di mia sorella, quindi avevo il bonus di avere lei, e sorpresa anche Caleb!
Ero molto emozionata di poter averlo con noi a cena, e sono fiera di dire che è stato un ospite molto gradito.
Abbiamo mangiato fondue al formaggio, cioccolato e caramello, abbiamo condiviso messaggi di natale, cantato qualche canzone e aperto alcuni regali (io a Caleb non ci saremo stati la mattina dopo), e giocato un po' a qualche gioco.
La serata è finita nei migliore dei modi!
First of all, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all! It took me a bit 'of time, between holidays and illness, I didn't have much time to write. What can I say, this Christmas was one of the best in a long time. I was able to feel good, to feel loved, I was able to smile and have fun with people who love me. I'd be lying to say that I wasn't home sick, but I'm happy to say that it was fine. On the 24th I had dinner with my host family. It was fun spending time with them! The family I am staying with are my sister's in-laws, so I got to have my sister as a bonus, and surprise surprise: Caleb! I was very excited to be able to have him over for dinner, and I am proud to say that it was a most welcome guest. We ate cheese fondue, chocolate and caramel, we shared Christmas messages, sang a few songs and opened some gifts (Caleb and I were not going to be there the next morning), and played few games. The evening ended in the best way!
Io e Caleb sfiniti, siamo andati a casa sua pronti per svegliarci il mattino dopo per aprire i regali.
Il mattino seguente eravamo i primi svegli ad aspettare che tutti gli altri si alzassero dal letto. Non mento nel dire che ero emozionata nel passare il natale con la sua famiglia, ed ero ancora più emozionata nel dare a Caleb i suoi regali!
Con imbarazzo ammetto che sono stata abbastanza viziata un po' da tutti in questo natale, ho ricevuto molti regali, e tutti sono stati molto graditi, ma quello più bello è stato vedere che Caleb mi ha regalato l'anello Pandora che tanto desideravo.
Sono stata felicemente sorpresa da sua madre, nel vedere che, con 6 figli e 3 nipoti, ha pensato anche a me che ufficialmente non faccio parte della famiglia. Mi sono davvero commossa nel vedere con quanta cura abbia scelto abiti e accessori per me, e sono davvero grata per questo suo gesto.
La cena di natale è stata particolare: abbiamo mangiato messicano in compagnia del fratello maggiore di Caleb e la sua famiglia! Adoro i suoi nipoti Alex e Jackie ❤.
Questo natale è stato un vero e proprio "bianco natale", ha nevicato così tanto che la macchina di Caleb è stata sotterrata nella neve, e sono dovuta rimanere una notte in più.
Exhausted Caleb and I, went to his house ready to wake up the next morning to open presents. The next morning we were the first one to woke up, waiting until everyone else got up from the bed. I don't lie in saying that I was excited to spend Christmas with his family, and I was even more excited to give Caleb his presents! I admit that they have all spoiled me this Christmas, I received many gifts, and all were very welcome, but the best thing was to see that Caleb gave me the Pandora ring I wanted so much. I was happily surprised by her mother that, with 6 children and 3 grandchildren, she thought about me even if I'm not officially part of the family. I was really touched to see how carefully she chose clothes and accessories for me, and I'm really grateful for that. The Christmas dinner was special: we have eaten Mexican in the company of Caleb's older brother and his family! I love his nephew Alex and niece Jackie ❤. This Christmas was a real "White Christmas," it snowed so much that Caleb's car was buried in snow, and I had to stay over an extra night.
Dopo il 26 è stato semplicemente l'inferno. Sono rimasta due giorni a letto con la febbre alta, naso tappato e tanta voglia di morire.
Fortunatamente, ho un ragazzo che sa come farmi stare meglio e curarmi, e grazie alle medicine che mi ha consigliato di prendere, sono riuscita a divertirmi anche a Capodanno!
Capodanno è stato fantastico! Con qualche amico abbiamo affittato un appartamento (non ho idea di quale sia il vero nome tecnico visto che era un hotel con appartamenti lol), dove abbiamo passato la notte a divertirci! Abbiamo riso scherzato e festeggiato l'anno nuovo insieme. Sono contenta di poter dire di essere una persona migliore dopo il 2016. Mi sono trasferita lontano da casa, ho iniziato ad andare al college e lavorare, ho trovato una persona importante per me, e sono riuscita a farmi qualche amico. Per chi mi conosce, sa quanto è stato difficile per me questo cambiamento, ma sono contenta di averlo fatto, e spero che il 2017 sia pieno di felicità e successi, ma sopratutto che sia piena di bei momenti passati insieme alla persona che amo (Caleb se stai leggendo so che mi odi perchè scrivo cose troppo sdolcinate, perdoname por mi vida loca).
After the 26th it was just hell. I was two days in bed with a high fever, blocked nose and a great desire to die. Luckily, I have a boyfriend who knows how to make me feel better, and thanks to the medicines he gave me, I was able to enjoy myself even during New Year! New Year eve's was fantastic! With a few friends we rented an apartment (I have no idea what the true technical name is since it was an hotel with apartments lol), where we spent the night enjoying ourselves! We laughed and joked and celebrated the New Year together. I am happy to say to be a better person after 2016. I moved away from home, I started going to college and working, I found an important person for me, and I was able to get me a few friends. For those who know me, you know how difficult it was for me this change, but I'm glad I did it, and I hope that this 2017 would be full of happiness and successes, but mostly full of good times spent with the person I love (Caleb if you're reading this I know you are hating me because I write cheesy things, perdoname por mi vida loca).
