It's Christmas time!
Dopo tre mesi di tortura, sono riuscita a finire anche il mio secondo semestre! Sono riuscita ad avere quasi tutte A, tranne che per English 220 dove ho preso una B+... Ma non mi interessa, finalmente sono in vacanza e posso avere un po' di tempo per me stessa!
Passando a cose più felici, tra qualche giorno è natale!
Per chi mi conosce, sa che io sono un piccolo Grinch, il natale non mi suscitava più gli stessi sentimenti di una volta, ma arrivata qui, mi sento euforica come uno Zubat che è stato finalmente catturato.
I centri commerciali sono pieni di addobbi, le canzoni di natale sono in ogni negozio e l'intera città è piena di luci colorate. La neve (per quanto io non la sopporti) rende il tutto più magico!
Una cosa negativa di questo periodo è il fatto di esser lontani da casa. In Italia, gli studenti fuori sede, stanno quasi tutti tornando a casa per festeggiare il natale con la propria famiglia, io non so nemmeno quando sarò capace di rivederli. Mi manca la mia famiglia, mi mancano i miei amici, mi manca festeggiare il natale tutti insieme mangiando sino a scoppiare, mi manca guardare i classici Disney con mio padre aspettando la mezzanotte per poi aprire i nostri regali. Mi manca casa.
È dura crescere e dover prendere delle decisioni difficili per garantirti un futuro.
In tutto questo però, ho la fortuna di avere mia sorella, la famiglia che mi ospita qui che mi vuole bene, e il mio ragazzo con la sua famiglia che renderanno meno amari questi giorni.
Per ora vi lascio con questo breve e piccolo post, dopo natale pubblicherò ciò che ho fatto il 24 ed il 25, con annesse foto di regali ;P!

After three months of torture, I was able to finish my second semester too! I managed to have almost all As, except for English 220 where I got a B + ... But I don't care, I'm finally on vacation and I can have a bit 'of time for myself! Moving on to happier things, it's almost Christmas! For those who know me, you know that I am a little Grinch, Christmas didn't make me feel the same feelings I had long time ago, but arrived here, I feel elated as a Zubat which was finally captured. Malls are full of decorations, Christmas songs are in every store, and the entire city is full of colorful lights. Snow (though I don't like it) makes it all more magical! One bad thing about this period is the fact of being far from home. In Italy, resident students, are almost all coming home to celebrate Christmas with their families, I don't even know when I'll be able to see my family again. I miss my family, I miss my friends, I miss celebrating Christmas all together by eating up to bursting, I miss watching the Disney's classics with my father waiting for midnight and then open our presents. I miss home. It's hard to grow up and having to make difficult decisions to ensure yourself a future. In all this, however, I'm lucky to have my sister, my host family who loves me, and my boyfriend and his family that will make these days less bitter. For now I leave you with this short and small post, after Christmas I will publish what I did on the 24th and 25th, with attached photos of presents ;P! Thanks for reading, Bye ~
